Colour Me Green

I so enjoyed putting together the Colour Me Pink post that I thought it was time to go green. But boy oh boy decent green inspired rooms are as short as hens teeth. Add to that the dilemma that a search for 'green kitchens' now turns up environmentally sound kitchens and you have a real google drama in the making ...

But as I am a persistent wee thing I have found some delightful green and greenish bits and bobs worth sharing. So to begin I do quite adore the folksie, retro-ish green cushion above.

And ohh la la I could aspire to this almost 50s with a twist of green sofa and it's setting. I love the low slung nature of the whole room.

And here's a kitchen where olive does not look so drab. I must say that in one of our homes we have a gelati pale green kitchen - by choice - on the walls with blonde timber ... I liked it.

This to me looks like a bachelor pad kitchen, so streamlined and sleek, vroom vroom.

This bedroom is one of my favs, with it's brave mix of many greens. Not one I could co-habit with but adorable none the less.

Being a bit short on green rooms I went on the hunt for other pieces of inspired green design. How retro fab are the overalls for a wee one, from Lark.

And I thought this mix of sheers and solid curtaining was admirable in a white room.

Now we are moving to a collectable close to my heart, the depression green glass. Love love love it as a) it is affordable b) it is delightfully 'low brow' and c) is is functional on a daily basis.

Blue with green and a dash of yellow with white should be seen, very country cute, with no hicksville hint.

Now what double cream sponge would not take the cake on this footed depression era green glass stand. I so see this in a cream kitchen with goodies piled high.

Is this green or pale turquoise ... either way it is fetching yes.

Funky sweet design for a teen or guest room. Fresh, yet familiar, fun yet functional.

Ahhh yes, the pom pom cushion and throw ... what's not to like ... love it, want it.

Now moving into the sage green side of the world. Very calming, very tranquil, very nice.

More kitchen to love, including the butter yellow stove. And how bout those semi circular curved cabinets, oh yes baby.

Green spot with blue and white, hard to have a problem with this. And thus the tour de green concludes ... Now answer me one question ... Do you decorate with green, or is it never seen in your abode .... do tell, keen to know, best Le.

Hi Le

We love the green! We have a green area rug in our living room and our master bedroom wall color is light celery green. We hope spring will come here soon and it will be green outside!
Cheers!
