According to those who know they are a rare pair of 1960s/1970s cone-shaped Carl Thore pendant lights with purple and burnt ochre surfaces.

A rarely seen version of the much-loved 1960s Danish light design by Swedish architect Carl Thore, these vintage multi layered pendants have a cone-shaped heart skirted by the classic Carl Thore double layer with its coloured interior faces that reflect upwards and downwards respectively onto the glossy brushed aluminium surface of the split cone when the lamp is lit.
One of the pair sports a cool lilac-purple and silver colourway, while the other has a fiery combination of burnt ochre and gold. Personally I am in love with the lilac ... how bout you ...
I so see these in a clean, fuss free environment, think beach house complete with anodised drinking cups from the kitchen .. you know like Nana use to have.

Oh my, oh my. Desire ! In the right spaces these lights so have a contribution to make. A modern classic for sure. One day I might just have a low slung 60's L shaped house that might demand I get it one of these ... or a funked up beach shack just yelling 'get me one now'. A girl can dream ... best Le.

I would love to put one of these in the cafe we are working on...
totally awesome!
love the moody glow!
I'm lovin' the wonderfully warm glow of these fixtures but they would so not blend in with my oh so French Country home here on the Ponderosa. They are quite beautiful though.
Ya'll have a greatly blessed day from the snowy hills and hollers of the Ozarks!!!
