As you might recall I adore fresh flowers ... and I have a real preference for the single bloom type or same colourway arrangements. To be fair I love all flowers, only some more than others.

One of my favs from childhood onwards has always been pansies in a floater bowl. The roses above and below do remind me of that a little.

Whoop whoop has many things, but fresh flowers no. Even BrisVegas can be short on 'real flowers' in a really decent selection, too hot really. For truly great blooms the colder climes win hands down. Enter stage left, New Zealand.

So not surprisingly most of these images are from NZ House and Garden. I shouted me a subscription for my January birthday and the first one arrived on Thursday. Ahhh, oh yes take me there.

We lived in and around Dunedin and the Mackenzie for two years ... Dunedin is the home of peonies and all things equally wonderful. But for now these wee arrangements are eye candy for my sweet soul. The dash of colour these blooms provide, the sense of sculpture and salute to nature all make me smile with happiness. Do you have a fav ... please tell .... best Le

I love fresh flowers. I change my favorite from time to time. I've always loved lillies, gardenia and tuberose for their scent.
